hello everyone.. so im looking to relocate to SC from NJ.. my boyfriend and myself are trying to move to the carolinas. i need some advice about where to exactly consider. We need a place that would be in a busy/major town, but no more than 30 mins for work travel. im used to a town that is only busy 4 months out of the year. Are there any cities/towns that are busy all year round, so jobs are readily available? for myself, im more into the occupation of office, retail, or banking. my boyfriend is an audio/video enginner, so he would need a job that deals with home theater or like a tweeter, best buy, circuit city, etc... we are both in our mid 20's. we have two adorable american pit bull terriers. if we could be near a town that has things to do, bars, restaurants, etc... rental housing needs to be afordable no more than $900 a month.. im not sure what the payscale is for jobs down there. so if you can give me info on that, thats great..we've tried NC but it seems impossible with are breed of dogs..
I live in Columbia, SC, which a good sized metro with a little more than 700,000 people. The unemployment rate is low and it's a college town so there is plenty of nightlife. It's also close to both the mountains and the beach.
I moved from the midwest to new jersey. I had family and people I met while living in Minnesota telling me that New Jersey is the WORST place to live in, but being optimistic I moved to be with friends. I guess you can say my family was right about it so...... Im moving on..... New Jersey has the worst CUSTOMER SERVICE anywhere. I experience people always being rude instead of acting professional in business places.....They act so gettho!!!!! Dont ever move to New Jersey unless you have no class!!!!
