We live in a subsection just before Masonborough. The homes are equivalent, but because we connect to Pembroke we tend to get a lot more younger kids outside playing. Pembroke has smaller lots and it's been our experience that there's a lot less neighbor interaction when the homes are more spaced out. Pembroke tends to have a lot more younger families so that spills over into our section some. Which is fine with us as we have kids too.
I know some folks that moved to Masonborough because there were more boys there. They seem very happy. It's a nice section and we bike through it often. They have nicer retaining ponds with fountains and some community paths that cut through some of the different streets.
You could say Masonborough is more of the Estates section of Park West. Our section was supposed to be just like it, but the developer found he could make the lots smaller, and make more homes so he cut our section off just past the road to Park West Island and turned the rest into what is not Pembroke.
