Driving to Florida next week and trying to decide whether to go down I-77 (our preferred route) or I-75. Would hate to miss out on having dinner at the Front Porch in Richburg! Any advice from you locals?

I77 in SC was open the day after the hurricane hit, I expect the same the length of it.

I doubt Interstate 77 was directly affected by Matthew. Interstate 26's westbound traffic in westbound lanes went northbound on Interstate 77 during evacuation, and its westbound traffic in eastbound lanes switched to the proper westbound lanes.

ActionMgt, where in Florida are you going?

Port Charlotte. Its on the west coast between Sarasota and Ft Myers. We are what I call reverse snowbirds.. Florida residents who come north during the summer. Thanks for the help. We have decided to go down I 77 thanks to all of your tips on here.
