Hi All from Wales in the UK

I am trying to research an ALFRED ISAAC MEAD born in Somerset,UK in about the year 1850. The moved to Wales, but then left shortly after 1881 to go to the USA.

Family legend has it that he settled with a Native American lady in Willow Falls, South Dakota. I can not find any reference on the WWW re that location, but have come across WILLOW LAKE.

Can someone give me an email address of the local library or historical society so that I can contact them to see if they can help. I found one for the Willow Lake Museum (wl_museum@yahoo.com) but that email address does not work

I am hoping someone is able to help!!

Willow Lake is a very small community of about 250 people. As such, I don't think we have any regular users that live there. But I got to thinking that Willow Lake is in Clark County and you might be able to contact surrounding towns and get some information. Give this website a try:

One of my best friends is from Willow Lake and still owns the family homestead up there. He goes back every couple of weeks. I'll hand him your inquiry and see if he has any knowledge of it.
