Actually, if you want to propagate, you'll probably want to do that by means of sex.
If you want to move, you'll do that by means of technology like rocketry, solar sails, etc.
Ummm, waves propagate through space. (Not the military women, parts of the electromagnetic spectrum.) No sex is involved. The term is not quite right though, as it is commonly used for non-physical "objects", if that makes any sense. Example: A radio show (as an "object") contains information that is propagated over the airwaves (which is a misnomer itself). Propaganda has the same root, similar in meaning to distribution.
IIRC, solar sails don't get pushed to any great extent by photons, but by the high speed particles, such as those that are released in coronal mass ejections. Solar parachutes might be a more apt description, as sailboats have a keel that can be used to help sail against the wind.
Which actually brings me another question, I wrote in the OP. How does gravity, and Magnetism propel itself across space? I thought Magnetism, and electricity need matter to touch each other to transport itself.

Gravity control can definitely be used to propel a mass thru space.
From the old high school physics class experiment, the 10" counter rotating magnetic rings produces a small 'toroidal area of anti-gravity' on the inside, where a mass can hang suspended in mid air ( in this case, a paper clip), the next step is how to figure out a way to propel the mass in a direction using that same force.

Electromagnetic waves don't need a medium to propagate and can therefore travel through the vacuum of space. Electromagnetic (EM) radiation includes radio waves, microwaves, X-rays, gamma rays and light. EM energy is present everywhere in the universe.
Is propellant the only way to propagate through the vastness of space?
I don't know. That's a good question.

Consider that comets often have speeds of 150,000 MPH to 170,000 MPH and they're trapped in our Solar System.
That gives you an idea of how fast you'd need to be going to leave the Solar System, which probably in excess of 200,000 MPH and gravity isn't going to achieve that.

Apparently, either strong or weak nuclear force.
If you look at fission in a nuclear weapon, with the fissile material being either U235 or Pu239, the neutrons that are kicked out move at 44,500,000 MPH, assuming they're fast-moving neutrons. Not all neutrons are. Some are moderate or slow speed, but it's still a helluva lot faster than a comet.
You could use a nuclear reactor. Contrary to popular belief, they're not big giant things. You can make them small enough. I'm guessing no one's seen a test-reactor. You can make them smaller than that even, like the size of a lavatory on a plane.

Actually, Voyager 1 which is currently traveling at about 11 miles per second or 39,600 miles per hour, or a little less, is well on its way to leaving the solar system if it hasn't already. The further away from the sun you are, the less speed is required to escape from the sun's gravitational pull.
