Plus she is a young (June) 3rd grader. She is a grade behind in school. The teacher thought an extra year to practice 3rd grade work would be beneficial as 4th grade is more difficult.
We will change schools to help with the social aspect of this retention.
Or should I try to get a daily aid to help her and have her continue on at her pace. She knows she is behind and her grades this last semester have fallen. She already is in IEP for math (3 half hour sessions per week but she misses what her classmates are learning) and speech (1 day per week).
