We're moving to Spokane from Fairbanks, AK at the end of the month. Still waiting for our house to sell up here, but we are hoping it will go pretty fast with the new shipment of GIs coming in next week, so we are thinking about doing an extended stay hotel instead of renting an apartment then relocating to a house.

We have a large dog and a toddler and need to have two separate rooms so that the toddler doesn't have to lay awake and listen to his dad and the dog snore . The job is in Spokane Valley, but we commute 25 miles to town here, so it is ok if we aren't near the job site! Any suggestions?

Also, we're sending our stuff down on a grocery hauler and I'm flying down to meet it (husband is driving through Canada). I'll be unloading it alone with no ramp and my noodle arms - any suggestions for a moving company that might help with just the unloading? Moderator cut: see note

You could check out the Oxford Suites in Spokane Valley. They may be a bit expensive, just check the rates, but they are right by the Spokane Valley Mall and a few eateries and other stores. Walmart is nearby. There is a new Chinese Buffet across the road from there - avoid at all costs. I was back on R&R in July and ate there with my wife and it was hands down the most terrible place I have ever eaten in Spokane. Food was gross and there were bugs and we found moldy strawberries stuffed in the fruit.

Downtown Spokane is about a 10 minute drive down I-90 going west and if you want to go east you can get to Coeur d' Alene in about 25 mins. Coeur d' Alene is beautiful, as is Spokane. Welcome, and I think you will enjoy.

Here is a link: Spokane Valley Hotels | Oxford Suites Spokane Valley Washington Hotel | Hotel near Spokane Valley Mall

I have never stayed here myself, but it is in a decent area and close to the places I stated.
