I think Roger Federer has a better chance of winning than almost any year, if (1) he makes it to the Final and (2) if Djokovic took care of Nadal. Both scenarios are not that unlikely.
Think about it, Federer make it to the Final, he would have to beat only two challenging opponents, Tsonga and Ferrer. Accompling that is not that unlikely. Djokovic beating Nadal is not that unlikely either. He did it in straight set, on clay, LAST MONTH!
Federer beat Djokovic during Djokovic's peak at 2011's French Open. Federer can very possibly do that again.
I think Nadal has to be the favorite, even with his shaky first match. Nadal won the last three clay tournaments (Barcelona, Madrid, and Rome) and his record at Roland Garros is unbelievable.
That being said, it is certainly possible for Djokovic to beat Nadal and Fed to then beat Djoker. In fact, that is what I will be pulling for.
