Maybe, maybe not. He could be the next Roger Federer. Or Lleyton Hewitt. Or David Nalbandian. Who knows?
Martina Navratilova was talking about him yesterday and said that even though he beat Novak, she didn't see anything special in him the way she saw something special in a 19-year old Roger beating Pete. Or a kid Nadal beating Roger. She may be wrong. I didn't see the match against Djokovic. I do agree with her about realizing that Federer was special during that 2001 match, though.
There are very few guys right now ages 18-22 who look like future Grand Slam event winners. The current golden era of men's tennis could be followed by a fallow period (or also could be extended unnaturally for 2-3 extra years because of the lack of standout players who will replace the current top 4 players).
Oh, Nadal and Djokovic at age 31 winning a grand slam is unnatural?
