People who watch football tend to be wider.

The Super Bowl is much more widely watched than the Australian Open men's final (or any other Grand Slam men's final for that matter). I personally watch and enjoy both of them (though with the Australian Open final I usually only watch after about 2:30 mark of the match because of when it is played (starting about 3:30 AM ET in the eastern U.S.).

Only big time soccer events and the Olympics carry more viewers than the Super Bowl.

I really don't know why this is a question...

Why not? Do you guys have the numbers or is it just a guess?

Australian Open is being watched by the whole Australia, the whole Japan (if Kei was in the Final), many European countries, Americans, and other Asian countries, etc. while Super Bowl is only watched by Americans.

Without a doubt, the SuperBowl has more viewers as it frequently sets viewing records. I would have watched the AUSOpen if it had been on OTA but ESPN has it tied up. Another reason the SuperBowl will have more viewers.

Sports organizations need to break the stranglehold ESPN has over them if they want to increase viewers.

Let me make it clear. Viewers add together from the world, not just USA.
