Actually he said "We can't have the inmates running the prison," not asylum like you posted. Prisoners are felons. If you're going to use a metaphor or cliche, at least don't mix it. Freudian slip, I guess.
I've seen more than a few posts from whining snowflakes who don't like the peaceful knee demonstrations calling the league a bunch of felons......McNair must hate it that he's paying them millions of dollars.
