My wife and I are moving back to Springfield for work. We previously lived there from 2009 to 2013 and are very familiar with the area and most of the property management companies. Suffice to say, we'd prefer to rent from a private individual, or smaller honest property management company, but also know that most of private/owner rentals only stick For Rent signs in the yards and do not post online. Living in Charlotte, NC we are unable to drive around Springfield and look for signs like we could in the past. I'm hoping maybe someone on here might have seen some in their neighborhood and could help us out.

I know of a few dishonest companies. There are many who don't have ties to members of the city council who operate with the kind of professionalism expected from all. I'd list a few I know and slight just as many good ones I don't. A neutral answer is cruising Zillow for red dots in related neighborhoods and call the contact for sale/rental (dual listings are out there) information. I spotted a dozen listings in the specified area west of Campbell alone.
