My husbands being transferred to Springfield for work by Wednesday the 9th of July. It was supposed to be August 1st, but the person he is replacing left his emplyment suddenly. Now I have to be packed and gone by Monday morning. AAAGH!! Does anyone know an extended stay hotel where we can go while we search for a house? When we were there to visit I remember a multi-story hotel beside what I think was 60. (The interstate around Springfield to the south) There was a banner on the building about weekly rentals. PLEASE HELP. I am pulling my hair out as we speak.

Several Options
I think you'll find a few options for extended stay in Springfield. Some are not as nice, but cheaper. Then there are nicer, newer ones, such as the Residence Inn in the southern part of Springfield.

Company relocation contact
You may want to ask your husband to see if his company has a relocation department/contact. Most companies that transfer employees usually have information about this type of thing or they have contracted someone to assist with the relocation. And it can't hurt to ask for their assistance as they sort of pulled the rug on ya with moving it up a month.
