We have sold our house and the buyers stated they wanted the Maytag washer and dryer. They have changed their minds. I am looking for someone to take these appliances from the 2nd floor.

Look on craigslist, there are people posting free appliance pick up all the time. Not sure if they will take it from the 2nd floor so you may have to do a little negotiating.

If they're in good condition I'd bet money that someone would take it if you posted to Craigslist. I'm stunned at what people will buy or take off CL, even if it means hauling it themselves.

My friend had a guy travel 60 miles roundtrip for a $15 desk chair from Wal-mart.

We got rid of a giant 50 year old stove, a leaking refrigerator and a broken down lawnmower using stlouis.craigslist.org. If it is free people will come from afar and haul it away! It was fun watching them trying to get that stove and fridge out of our tight doorways too, but they managed.

I agree with Craigslist or Call the Habitat for Humanity Restore- they pick up and give you a tax donation receipt...

take some photos and post a free ad on craigslist under FOR SALE - FREE STUFF.

I promise you someone will be there before noon to get it, the copper in those things alone are worth the trip.
