I will be in town to review Busch Stadium for my website. I was looking for a few things to do/eat before the game.

Thanks!

Welcome!

I recommend checking out the reddit visitor's guide:
visitorguide - StLouis

If you have time, I'd check out City Museum downtown. I'd check out City Garden. I'd have a walk down washington ave. I'd get a calzone for dinner at Sauce on the Side. I'd get breakfast at Rooster. I'd get lunch at Bogart's BBQ in Soulard. I'd drive out to Forest Park and see the Art Museum.

I did not like SAUCE ON THE SIDE. I also took my parents there and they did not like it. They try to add unconventional things to the calzones (raisins, pineapple, spinach, etc) which did not mix well. This is only my opinion, though. They seem to be a hit with others and it's right next to the metro link stop.

Rooster is OK but make sure you don't get the pancakes. Basically any crepe is good just not the pancakes because they make the pancakes taste like crepes, lol.

Bogarts is fantastic, but if you're visiting STL for the first time you need to go get authentic STL style baby back ribs at Pappy's. I'm from Texas and I know BBQ...and Pappy's is up there with the best if you stick with the ribs and pulled pork. Pappys is down Olive located downtown.

Go someplace on "the Hill" get some toasted ravioli, and head to Trd Drews for a concrete fit in a tour of AB, or Grants Farm, the zoo there is free and one of the best I have seen

If you are there on Sunday morning, walk across the street to the Millenium Hotel and have brunch at Top of the Riverfront. It is a revolving restaurant with a wonderfully friendly atmosphere, plus a view of the city. I especially enjoy the river view side.

Moreover, the waiters/waitresses all seem to be well informed about what you see. You can ask "what is that?" and get an answer. A bit of history, too.

If you just want to wander, there is a lovely park surrounding the Arch now. Quite different from when I was there eons ago. And, you absolutely must not miss Forest Park. Even if you don't go inside a single building - all worth visiting, by the way - just seeing that park is inspiring.
