My step by step plan on how to make the Syracuse area a J.Crew and better than the Target of Rochester.
1) Decrease the crime rate in the Syracuse area to less than half of the Rochester, NY area so the Syracuse area is clearly a safer place to live.
2) Make full use of the Hills in the suburbs of Syracuse. Build all types of housing options in areas with good schools and scenic views. Make many new neighborhoods fully bikeable and walkable with trails, sidewalks and near shopping.
3) Make more use of all the Lakefront and Riverfront areas. Build Walkable neighborhoods within easy walking distance to the parks on the Rivers and lakes with trails and sidewalks. Build more public free parks on the Rivers and lakes.
4) Expand the Bike infrastructure in the Syracuse area so it is way bigger and better than in the Rochester area.
5) Build many more walking trails through all the suburbs that interlink with each other.
6) Make the Syracuse area less prone to flooding. Right now, the Syracuse area is a safer place than Rochester according to rankings that rank the safest cities from natural disasters due to the earthquake Risk higher in Rochester and the wildfire threat higher in Rochester. Rochester is also within a 20 mile radius of a nuclear power plant, all of Syracuse and Syracuse suburbs are more than 25 miles from the nuclear power plant.
7) Build a Research Center that tests manipulating the weather. Use the technology of cloud busting to clear the skies over the Syracuse area on overcast days. Just pretend you are testing the technology. Over time the Syracuse area will become sunnier than Rochester or Albany.
8) Start winning again in SU Football and Basketball so that we can claim an exciting college sports scene in Syracuse again, something Rochester doesn't have.
9) Create a Live music scene in the Syracuse area larger and better than in Rochester.
10) Create a nightlife scene in the Syracuse area bigger and better than in Rochester.
11) Clean up the litter, overgrown brush, messy built Environment, junky looking properties, warehouses areas by screening ugly looking industrial areas and revealing beautiful attractive properties by cutting down overgrown brush.
12) Build more housing in the Syracuse area in all areas so that the Syracuse area is always a cheaper place to buy homes and rent than in the Rochester area.
13) Build a symmetrical Skyline in Syracuse so it looks better than the Rochester skyline. Build at least 3 new beautiful tall buildings above 400 feet high.
