I know it is unavoidable to compare the 2, but it's Apple and Oranges imo.

IMO any 10 inch tablet > any 7 inch tablet.

7 is too damn small.....
IMO, of course.

7 inches is the sweet spot. The nexus fits in a pocket, in a pinch. It's about the size of a paperback, making it excellent for reading. It's bigger than a phone, so it's better for games and web. 10 is just too bulky, but is a more realistic replacement for laptops if you're needs require such.

Which is why I said "IMO".
I don't want something a little bigger then my phone. I have a phone. I want something much bigger for games, surfing and reading. I'd rather read on a 10"... more like a hardback.

I'm with Peregrine that IMO, I wouldn't want a "mini" tablet unless it's called a smartphone. I can, however, understand that depending on your geo location and how much one is on the go (walking) that one would prefer the ultimate portability, or either one just doesn't like carrying anything in his/her hands and wants to pocket everything. I still lug around a 17" Dell laptop that I bought back in 2006, so needless to say, I'd be more than happy with something like an iPad or an Asus Transformer.
