After threatening myself that I was gonna do it for 2 month I rolled my Nexus 4 back to KitKat last night. Will revisit Lollipop in a few months and see if things have improved.

Did you follow a particular tutorial to flash back to KitKat? My Nexus 7 (2012) is doing ok with 5.1 (if I reboot it regularly) but I have been thinking of flashing it back to KK. I don't have any experience in doing this. I have looked at a few tutorials but comments from people that have used those tutorials often indicate problems they ran into during the procedure and didn't know how to fix. So I was hesitant to try.
