I posted this question but I guess it was in the wrong forum. Ok so I have an Ipad Mini that has 500+ Ibooks on it. I'd like to buy my bf an Ipad Mini to and transfer the books to his Ipad. Is it possible to do this so I have the Ibook library on both Ipads or is it specific to one Ipad alone? The reason I'm asking is because I use it on flights and it would be great if we could both have our own to read. TIA

There are a lot of variables here, but if you use the same iTunes account on both iPads, it shouldn't be too difficult.
When you say IBooks do you mean you bought them all on iTunes?

If both iPads have the same iTunes account then any book purchased through iTunes can be downloaded to the new iPad.

If any are copies bought from elsewhere, you have to copy them manually through iTunes.

No you don't. If they were ordered from Amazon for the Kindle App, then you would go through the Kindle App and pull your purchases from their cloud.

I meant books or PDFs you got from somewhere else but use iBooks to read them. I wasn't referring ti Amazon or kindle. I have files in iBooks that have to be copied manually. That's one of the negatives of iTunes.

Thanks for the responses. I wasn't sure if it's possible. It would all be under my ITunes account. I guess I would just sign in like normal and all the books should pop up????

I'm LOLing a little because my phone, which was updated recently, had a notification that if I use iCloud that it would now also back up the files that it wouldn't before.

If you have any problems, just have a chat with an apple technician. The "chat" section is under "Support" in the Apple website.
