Hello all!

I may be moving to Tampa soon and was wondering if the following address is in a good, safe area. I will be staying at one of those homestead extended stay hotels for about 4 months until I get figured out where I will want to stay.

5401 Beaumont center Blvd E.

Thanks.

Convenient location. I don't believe that you'll have to worry about anything - still need to keep a vigilance on personal safety where ever you are here in the the TB/STP/CLW area. Looks like there's a storage facility right next to the Homestead - that might be convenient for you as well.

I'd be more concerned about the people staying at an extended stay hotel more than the area. My company booked me in one last year and I left after the 1st night and went to a Hampton Inn. There seems to be a lot of low income people/families that live in these places full time. Besides the filthy room, there were lots of shady people and screaming babies at all hours of the night. Never again.

I have stayed in one extended-stay hotel, and it was exactly as described above - full of shady characters. My parents had guests stay in such a place near their house in a nice neighborhood. Same deal, including violent wife-beater next door, literally.

I had a friend who stayed there for a month and had no problems at all. She said it was kind of small but they were a family of 3 living in one room. It is not a seedy motel rent by the day place. It is right near the airport so you will have some airplane noise.

There is also an extended stay on Westshore which might be a better place since there are restaurants and a mall in walking distance. Mainsail has 2 locations one right next to the place you asked about and the Westshore one.
