Be warned...you cannot see the flashing light in the school zone here because the Pinellas Trail blocks it until you are so close you cannot get to 15MPH fast enough from 35MPH and the cops wait right by the flashing light and nail everyone that goes past! So unfair. Now I know its there so it wont happen again, but its a $346 ticket, so beware.
The clerks office even confirmed that its a big ticket spot!! Shame on you St Petersburg, thats very sneaky!...that flashing light needs to be in front of the Pinellas Trail!!! Oh but then you wouldnt get all the Revenue from unsuspecting hard working tax paying residents!!

You cannot get to 15mph from 35mph? Are you driving a semi-truck or what? I can get to that in few feet. Of course, if you are at 55mph and trying to get to 15mph, that is different thing .

I see many people blowing by me when I slow in school zones and some don't even wait for "End school zone" sign when they fly again. Glad the cops are cracking that up!

I'd love for the city to enforce the school zones on 62nd Ave N. Every one of the vehicles I see blowing through the 15 mph zone at 50+ mph is an SUV with a soccer mom and kids inside. I guess the rules don't apply to them.
