I can vouch for this. It absolutely kills me when someone buys his/her first Boston shirt or hat when one of our teams is winning. Let me break out my faded flat Sox hat from when I was a kid, my torn Pats shirt of Grogan, etc.. And don't even get me started on the Pink Hats......

That right there says it all. There is something about having followed a team since you can remember. It's in your blood. No matter how rock bottom they've hit, how many painful playoff games they've lost, once they win, well, it feels like it is *your* win. You feel the highs and the lows with them. In some very crazy, very small way, it's almost ashame the Sox finally won it. Because that first time, that huge win, it'll never be experienced again in that way. why? because of all the pain and heartache they put us through all these years, lol.

Agree 100%. Celtics just had their run, now they will be rebuilding. Sox, with the exception of a handful at best, is a brand new team since their WS run.

And don't forget the Cowboys. I can't tell you how many Cowboys fans I come across up here.

LoL, you mean they were a laughing stock, similar to the Bucs THEN.

Sadly, Cowboys fans are found EVERYWHERE. Bum Phillips (former Oilers Coach) once said that the Cowboys were America's Team, but the Oilers were Texas's team. Then the Oilers left and the Cowboys got a death grip on Houston. The Texans have a solid and growing fan base now though.

I don't mind the Cowboys fans though, because I know deep in my heart that as long as Jerry runs that team, without a GM, and without a decent head coach, that they will NEVER win again!

No. Patriots laughing stalk before 2000, like Bucs laughing stalk now. Maybe someday Bucs will become consistently good, but so far.....still waiting.

I think he was talking about the 80s and early 90s when they both sucked.

Don't know too many people laughing at the Bucs. In fact, they've been given several prime time games. They have arguably the best DBs in the game now. One of the best WRs with Vince Jackson. Two All Pro OLs (Davin Joseph, Carl Nicks). 1000+ yd rusher in Martin.

You're starting to look foolish.

I wonder if they'll wear the white or orange throwbacks for that game since it's in September. I'm thinking they bust out the white jerseys for the first time.

Good question since Sept is hotter than hell, usually they wear their white jerseys. They're going to be sweating their asses off if they don't - as will the fans who decide to wear their gameday jerseys (I don't wear jerseys- personal choice -).
