I am a C# web developer with 5 years experience. I was curious how easy it is to get a web developer job in Tampa, FL area?

Here in Nashville, TN I can't get the recruiters to leave me alone. I can typically find work in around 2 to 3 weeks if I tried. How would you rate that against Tampa, FL?

Thanks for any info.

You're a web developer, it shouldn't be hard to get a job almost anywhere. Trying looking on careerbuilder.com to see how many positions are open in this area or do a google search for web developer positions in Tampa. There's always a demand for those.

Expect to make 10%-30% less than you do in Nashville. IT jobs pay less in this area, like it or not.

Unless you're in an area that's high specialized, such as a DBA or Linux administrator, the pay will be less.

And the cost of living is not lower, either.

Not being negative, just realistic. Be sure to do your due diligence before you make the jump.
