Thinking of moving to the Tampa Bay area with my family. We are looking at Wesley Chapel, Lutz and Palm harbor. Any insight you could provide would be great. We will have kids in elementary, middle & high school. I am in sales and will be commuting to different areas ie. st. petes, ft. myers, Orlando...

All the areas you mentioned are nice but due to the commute you may want to consider Wesley. Chapel due to the easy access to I-75 and easily getting Access to the main roads to the areas you have to drive to.

If I may recommend a couple other areas that may work as well:

Trinity, Land O Lakes, New Tampa, and Odessa.

If you'll be travelling to Ft. Myers, you should also look at the Southshore area.

The only area with decent schools that I know of in Southshore would be Mirabay because they are zoned for Apollo Beach Elementary. I don't know the middle school and the high school is Eastbay which is not good.

And Mirabay is where we live. My kids are both grown up so I cannot provide any input on schools. However, Mirabay and the surrounding area provide good access to I-75. Maybe it depends to where you would commute most often.

From a location point of view, we love it here. We have good access to shopping and restaurants. If we want something really fancy, we can drive to St. Pete or Tampa.

It's worth looking at.

MiraBay by Newland Communities | Waterfront Living | New Homes for Sale | Tampa, FL

There are other communities in the area too; however, we are partial to Mirabay.

Thank you for your responses. We have added Lithia and Valrico to our area of interest. Is anyone familiar with Newsome High School and how those areas would be to live?

Wesley Chapel is a great and growing area. Trinity is also a very nice area with excellent schools. Trinity Elementary, Seven Springs Middle and Mitchell High are all A schools that are very desired. The community is growing as well.
