96 is like hell. It's very bad when it's humid at the surface. 4 days without a drop.

I don't care what BN9 says we'll hit that easy today here in Inverness. Were a good 30 miles inland and there is no sea breeze whatsoever. It's just still, sticky and miserable.

Lol, well, at least the rain chances increase. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if there's some overcast most of the day.

Yes, I was out. We just had lunch out. It is only 91 at our house at the time of this posting. Palm Harbor Weather - AccuWeather Forecast for FL 34685

My comment was that 96 is the record high. Places we have lived before had record highs in excess of 105, with the same humidity. So I don't think the record highs here are nearly as bad as what we have experienced, not to mention we are not at a record high today where we live.

We've got about two more months to go, but it wouldn't surprise me if this week/next week was peak summer heat for our part of Florida. Yeah, I know, a few degrees less doesn't seem to make much difference, but even though September is pretty bad, it's the start of the transition to cooler temps.

I think the latter part of October and November are golden months in Florida and a great time to get out there and do things. The temperatures tend to moderate, yet it's still warm enough to go for a dip if you like. Snowbird traffic really doesn't hit until December, and even then it's not bad until January. Rates are down most places if you want to do a little in-state tourism. With lower rates, lower temps and less traffic, it's an excellent time for residents to explore and enjoy Florida.

He doesn't sweat. He is one of the lucky ones blessed with anti-sweating genetics.
