After that first storm, we got more rain around 7PM (and gustier winds than the early storm), total for the day was an even 2 inches. We really needed it over here in Gulfport.

Hope you guys are liking this heat. High pressure is just not moving and the same areas are getting rain again.

Hatin' it, Chas. In fact today we decided to get serious about a move to Western NC, where it's a bit cooler.
I was out and about earlier this morning doing the Saturday estate, garage sale, errand circuit. Felt like I was in a third world country. Equatorial heat, and a cacaphony of loud foreign nationals and their whining kids all grabbin' for the goodies. Here it is summer and everywhere jammed. I'm soooooooo over it, they can freakin' have their wallow in all the noise, heat, traffic, crowding and congestion.

Our summers will just get worse over the years as we get less rainfall and higher temps. I would sure move away if you could.

Too many people. Waaay too many people. Enjoy all those new homes, noobs! Profit delivery units for utility companies. (lol, I'm in a mood today! The heat increases the nasty factor)

I do blame the devil Obamabutt for just about everything, but not the weather. Now we have a cold core low to our northeast that could become a tropical low. It could end up drying us out even more if it gets stronger and stays well to our northeast.

Swell. That would mean the choking stench of muck fire to add to the still, fetid air.
