Can anyone give me a rough estimate of the monthly cost of utilities (Electric, water, internet) in a 1-2 bedroom apartment in an area such as Palm Harbor? Trying to calculate what we would save living in an apartment for 6 months while settling in and looking at houses.

Sorry for reviving this thread. I just wanted to make sure that $57 is a good average.

Here in Puerto Rico I pay $24 for water in a three bed room small house for 2 adults and no children.

You can imagine my initial shock when I saw the $57.

If I rent, is water included in the rent?

Depends on the apartment complex. When I lived in Tampa, the first complex my hubby and I lived at - the water was included. However, the other two it was not. The water bill was per building and it was divided among all the units in that building. I don't remember ours being over $50, but I think on average ours was $30-$40.

We lived at baypark apartment's on old coachman rd. in Clearwater. 2 bedroom 1242 sq feet 2 full bathrooms and a screened lanai.

Rent $1065 now it's $1250
Water $60 to $80 a month
Electric around $120
Valet service have to get it $26

If you wanted a garage was $100 extra a month

So not so cheap is it. Was right by St. Pete campus and Brighthouse field. Traffic is a nightmare on gulf to bay.
