Looking on the map, maybe it's Honeymoon Island? Was hoping there was a closer beach. Anyone think this is a nice area for families? Or steer clear? They have a pretty decent school district. Close to 40 yo parents with 6 yo and almost 2 yo.

Ozona is a very nice place to live. Closest beach is Honeymoon Island.

Thank you, both of you! I found an old post that has helped me a lot. Trying to get there over Thanksgiving, already scheduled to be in the area in March. Excited to visit again.

Ozona/Palm Harbor is a very nice area. Friendly as well as family friendly. I'm going to Rocktoberfest in old downtown Palm Harbor tomorrow. I think Ozona and Crystal Beach both have waterfront parks for playing and watching sunsets. Y Honeymoon Island is really nice too. It has a dog beach and walking trails.

Thanks so much to both of you. Rocktoberfest sounds up our alley, actually anything having to do with beer (hopefully?), festival, and downtown sounds awesome. So what about the schools? biker fuzz, are your kids school age? This is what worries us the most. The schools rate an 8 overall, not terrible, but the best we've found as close to the water/beach as possible. We're looking to build so we want to make sure we're where we want to be for the long haul...when we move to FL, we're not moving again, maybe once kids are in college, but I'd rather not (wishful thinking)

my son is. he will start high school there. in the fall . I researched the schools on various sites like school digger.org, us news and world report and great schools .org. they were a big help. As well as looking at the schools to. Try and get a tour if you can. I found that helpfull.

Default Hi I know this is an older post but...

Could either of you give anymore info on this area? I actually visited Peachtree City Ga and loved it.
We still have time to explore that area too.
I'm originally from Florida we are a family of four have two kids that are 4 and soon to be 3.
We are only interested in golf cart communities where you can do all errands via a golf cart.
Is this a community like that? Had a hard time finding homes that gave any info of the golf cart usage in detail.
I thank you so much. SAHM here too thanks!
