We are a young couple with a new baby and dog that will be moving from NYC area to Florida within the next 6 months.

We plan to come down in March to look around and see some houses but wanted a recommendation on the best towns to focus on for long-time city dwellers.

My husband will be in school at USF and I work full-time from a virtual office at home (so no commuting issues for me.) We'd want to be near the college for his commute, in a youngish community that is friendly and safe (and also a good place for reasonable home deals.)

We're considering Wesley Chapel and wanted to know if there were any other areas/neighborhoods worth our concentration.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
thank you!

I, too, would recommend the New Tampa/Wesley Chapel areas. I am a Mom of 3, and my children are very happy in the public schools here. There are many activities for kids and families and all of the neighborhoods are family oriented. The PTA involvement in the local schools is extremely strong, which reflects education as a family priority. There are numerous Mom's Groups/toddler playgroups in these areas.
Good luck with your search.
