The Lowry Park Zoo is really nice for a small zoo. They have a nice park and a kiddie play area.

I'm in that area a lot. It really isn't as bad as many people make it out to be. Yes, Nebraska does have its fair share of prostitutes, but I'd imagine they would be easy to avoid. Just play it safe, keep an eye out for suspicious people, and lock your doors. I really think you'll be fine.

I have to agree with the majority that you moved into a "ghetto" part of Tampa. South Tampa would definitely be your best bet, Carrollwood is nice also or if you want to move North into New Tampa...it seems to be picking up out there! As for Clearwater/St Pete there are many differences between there and Tampa. Clearwater/St Pete is much more laid back and "slow paced" compared to fast paced Tampa... there are of course ghettofied areas there too. Its the norm ...youre going to have the good with the bad and every other street could be different. The one thing Ive learned from Tampa AND St Pete is to stay away from the numbered streets... Anything with a # is more then likely shady!! )
