Can anyone describe to me what it would be like for a single successive professional male dating in Tampa?

See a girl...go talk to her....ask her to have dinner or a drink with you....dress nice, wear cologne....fall in love...buy a big ring...have a kid...fall into midlife boredom....start fighting....get divorce....pay HUGE alimony...repeat from the start.

I've heard that the ratio for dating for men vs. women, men have more luck. Just heard. From my experience here though, as a female, you should be pretty successful at the dating scene. Lots of very "hungry" women out there in Tampa looking for a good man. And the women are not ugly either.

Interesting thread.
I'm a single young professional too. I'm not looking to date right away - but since I'm new in town, I'd like to make friends!
What would your suggestions be? Thanks

The problem here is the falling into midlife boredom. Keep asking her to dinner, dressing nice, and buying her big rings and the boredom and fighting will stop!

Are you definitely moving to Tampa? Re/Creating Tampa - The Worst City for Young Professionals (http://www.recreatingtampa.com/2008/07/10/the-worst-city-for-young-professionals/ - broken link) I wouldn't move here for several reasons, some of which are stated in that article, but you should do fine in the dating scene. Plenty of people here so you're bound to click with someone.
