I am a fun mother - according to my son in 4th grade. He says that because I let him study in a stress free way and fun way. I opt for progressive fun resources over text books and note books. I take help from my teacher friend and she guides me well. 4th grade math is getting little tough for my son now. Specially with fractions making its way. I need few resources to practice equivalent fractions. I have few card games like Froggy fraction (https://logicroots.com/math-games/froggy-fractions/) which was an amazing resource. My son loved it and practice was great. I need more such resources. Do you anything in mind? Any help would be highly appreciated.
Measuring cups are good, too. You can use them with water, sand, rice, beans, etc.
The fraction circles are my favorite because you can also use them to help the child understand mixed numbers and improper fractions, as well as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions. Use them for fraction-decimal equivalence, too.
There are also fraction bars and fraction rectangles, but I would use them in addition to the circles, not instead of them. If you have a piece that says 1/3 with no whole bar present, the 1/3 is meaningless. With a circle, you can really see what 1/3 is.
