I’m moving to Tennessee but need help to find what I’m looking for.

I want to live in a rural area with a forest around or behind me, with lots of wildlife.

A house that is small and reasonably priced, on a large parcel or acre.

Close to a lake, stream, or waterfalls.

Close or up to hour drive to a city.

I’ve been researching but know I’d get better info here.

Thank You

what's your definition of 'reasonably priced'?

I don't know what you consider to be reasonably priced, or what size city you want to be near. Not knowing that, I'm going to recommend the areas around Cordell Hull Lake which is NW of Cookeville and east of Nashville, and Center Hill Lake which is SW of Cookeville and east of Nashville. Depending on the location, both are within 10-30 minutes of Cookeville and 1 to 1.5 hours from Nashville.

Here are samples of homes on at least 1 acre around Cordell Hull Lake that have sold recently:

I’m looking at 150,000 for a home. It’s only me so a two bedroom is all I need.

Near a larger city is for medical services if and when needed.

I will suggest places between Knoxville and Chattanooga, along I-75, like Loudon, Sweetwater and Athens. I have not used the medical services in those areas but I would guess the UT Medical Center in Knoxville would be a top notch place.

Yes, and Sweetwater has an air base for lifeline helicopter flights direct to UT. I believe that is an annual subscription service.
