Time is running out... (Knoxville: low income, apartment complexes, for rent)

Hi yall,

My girlfriend and I are looking to move down to Tennessee both for her med school and my job. Both positions have been filled, but we can't find a place to live. We are looking for an Apartment between Knoxville and Harrogate, about equal distance between both preferred. Every place I call is "low income." No offense at all to that, but we are looking for something bigger and better. Can someone please help, our search is getting bleaker and we have no options. Thank you for any help in advance.

I don't understand. We have a lot of apartment complexes in Knoxville and most of them are not "low income." Have you googled for rent dot com?

Never mind. I see what you are saying. It is one hour and 22 minutes from Knoxville to Harrrogate. That is a long haul. I apologize. I have no idea what you are going to do. Does the school have any suggestions?

I don't know that area very well but if you keep an eye on the the local pares for that area you might be able to find a house to rent through a private owner?
Just a thought.
