LOL. Pretty bad if true.

But some question if it is actually legit. And they're more likely to "get away" with it if it's a one-off vs. a consistent problem that requires recalls.

This was really the glass panel coming off. The sun block is adequate, not an issue - we have one in NV, a place that has a little more sunshine than most places.

Until there's a viable competitor or Musk's puppet BoD dethrones him.

id imagine it will be tougher to get away with stuff when there is more competition. teslas do compete against ICE cars but once you go electric there are limited options.

one of the key reasons i got the tesla was because it is unique. i could have gotten a bmw x3 for similar money and nobody here would notice it but people notice the tesla. that may not be the case anymore when im done with this one.

Your car is still new, after a few months or year people complain the UV coating is wearing off. This is why every other car company with a huge panoramic sunroof has a retractable roof. Fortunately I am in Northeast so the sun doesn't burn as much.

No, my wife's model 3 is an early one - we have had it for over 2.5 years. Before the X, which I have had for 15 months, I had a model S for over 3 years with glass roof - all have been fine - no UV issues and we live where it gets very very hot. BTW - I lived in the Northeast, not even close as far as UV protection need.
