If you're a native of Texas, I would be interested in your opinion--do you smile or frown about all of the people moving to our state?

Yes, I'm happy we have economic growth, but I wish there weren't quite so many people moving here.

It would take a long time to fill up Texas with people but I am not happy with the massive sprawl in DFW and the resulting pollution and congestion!

I am happy about growth and do not think that Texas is getting too crowded. But on the other hand, I live in the western part of the state where people are not moving to. But back to the original hand, Texas is a large state with a low population density. There is still room for more growth.

No. I don't see how our state is getting crowded considering it's so damn big. It's going to take years before that happens.

As I look down the road at my only neighbor almost a mile away, I have to say no. But then I am on the Texas High Plains. The folks who still live in the Houston-Dallas metroplex may disagree with me.

I have no problems with people moving to Texas......as long as those people moving here DON'T bring their states problems with them.

Otherwise, WELCOME TO TEXAS!!

Or country's problems. If people are going to come here, speak English and be good taxpaying Americans - fine - although from the looks of the budget problems, we're not getting many taxpayers.

It's getting WAY too crowded in San Antonio. I had to move out of the outer edges of the city and in some suburbs because it was getting overcrowded. It took me 45 minutes to get to school from 10 miles away on the highway. Now it takes me 30 and I moved even closer. I guessed on the miles, but it's getting very crowded here, at least where I lived. Traffic is terrible, but this is my last year in Texas so I'm kind of happy.

That's an interesting question and one that I have been thinking about lately. I've always smiled about people coming to Texas, no frowns yet but they are starting to creep into my mind. It's getting a little crazy around DFW, lol. We have actually flirted with the thought of moving to west Texas.
