Texas Tourney *Best overall city* (Houston, Dallas: crime rates, employment, theatre)

Lets have a good ole tourney on which Texas city you consider the "Best". Obviously this is going to be somewhat subjective but here is what it will be based on.

#1) Safety (Crime rates)
#2) Amenities (Shopping, Eating)
#3) Entertainment (Pro sports, college sports, movie theatre, clubs, bars etc)
#4) Schools (best rated high schools/colleges)
#5) Downtown (Skyline, liveliness)
#6) Employment (Low unemployment)
#7) Metro ( what cities have the most livable suburbs with access to said city)
#8) Weather
#9) natural disaster prone
#10) access to nature (Rivers-Oceans-Lakes-Forest preserves-hills-mountains etc)
#11) Access to other cities (how far/close are other cities)
#12) Fastest growing
#13)Cost of living

Austin Vs Waco

Dallas Vs Lubbock

Houston Vs Amarillo

El Paso Vs Corpus Christi

Fort Worth Vs Tyler

San Antonio Vs Midland

Odessa Vs Texarkana

In every case, with the exception of Odessa vs. Texarkana, you're attempting to compare the incomparable here...

I think the OP has seeded these parings in some way so a 1 goes against a 16 or whatever and a 8 goes against a 9, which is why some parings seem more even than others...

yes that was my intentions hah! Also just to get a varied group of cities and different cities to make it more fun instead of the typical....austin vs san antonio or Dallas vs houston.

My fondness for Lubbock is deep, and I don't find Dallas attractive at all.

That said, I would have to vote for Dallas in this poll, no question. The poll is set up to ultimately result in the same old arguments about the same old metro areas though.

Austin is my favorite Texas city.I also like Corpus,San Antone,Fort Worth,Houston, Waco,Abilene,San Angelo and Midland.I don't much like Odessa.I think Lubbock is a good town but I would not want to live there.
