There’s not much about Texas I hold in high esteem other than Texan musicians but I do love my Tito’s vodka. Texas food as a whole I can live without.

Sure it's from Texas, but I don't associate Whole Foods with Texas at all. If anything I personally associate Whole Foods with the wealthy coastal areas.
See US maps of HEB and Whole Foods, HEB is all around more Texan than Whole Checks. But El Paso once again gets left out, they do however have a Whole Foods.

Luby's and Whataburger are very Texas in my mind, especially since both are referenced in King of the Hill.
Although I don't think Luby's and its cafeteria concept will survive COVID-19

Exactly, I 100% agree. There's lots of brands we can add if thats the case. 7-eleven is from here too, but its the least associated with Texas, unlike Buc-Ee's even while Buc-Ee's expands.

^^ For sure, HEB (excluding HEB in Mexico obviously) thrives on that Texas image serving the masses when it comes to marketing. Whole Foods thrives on the image of organic foods and exclusivity.

I thought about putting Luby's on the list, but it seems to grandfather-y to me. It's like a place older folks go. There has never been a day me and my friends have been like "let's go to Luby's", and we have a few in close proximity. Anyway, I don't think Luby's will shut down but wouldn't be surprised if the rona causes them to do a major down sizing.
