It's a longshot. They need approval from the state legislature. State lawmakers are in the back pocket of energy companies and don't give a crap about Houston.

They actually care a lot about Houston but not for the right reasons. The energy companies in Houston pocket some of that money as well and allow them to do the same. So I agree it’s a longshot

If Dallas, Travis, Bexar, and some important suburban counties such as Fort Bend and Collin follow suit, then we will have something brewing
