I'm just curious if anyone here has ever been to this fair. I was looking it up earlier today and realized I just missed it (it was last week). The same thing happened to me last year.

I haven't been to anything like this in a while and though it might be fun.

I lived in NB for 8 years & went to the County Fair twice (because of kids). Wouldn't ever go again:

- Inferior talent than Gruene Hall typically offers.
- Crowded & expensive food (food much better at Wurstfest).
- Not my thing.

I highly recommend Wurstfest on a Sunday - Wed. though. More unique music, better food & a better overall atmosphere.

Is the Wurstfest held at the same location?

No.

The County Fair Grounds are on Common St. (across from the Library). Where Common St. crosses the Guadalupe River.

Wurstfest Grounds are next to the Historic Power Plant (turned into high end apartments) & next to Landa Park on the Comal River. It's a couple of blocks north of the downtown plaza on Seguin St. (or maybe it turns into Landa St. there).

I heard Wurstfest kicks ass. I'd sure love to check that out one day.:-)
