I wonder what kind of town it is. I've heard of it, but I've never been there. I've read that's where actor Joe Don Baker is from. Has anyone been there before??

I've drove their, it's basically a rural small town with some occasional buildings. If you like small towns than I guess you'll like it,but I suggest you get more opinions because I've never actually went their and experienced it lol

It's just a typical small Texas town, nothing to really rave about.

The population is a bit over 4,000, the ethnicity is quite mixed, and the crime is not too bad.

Thanks for the advice. I'll still, one day, go see for myself. Maybe sometime this year soon.

Limestone County seems like a very nice place to retire. Do have few questions though,is there high speed internet and what are the areas that are considered by the locals to be unsafe?Looks as if the taxes are low and citizens are happy. If info will be appreciated. Thank you

The town of Groesbeck is running low on water...Groesbeck, Nearly Out of Water, Hopes to Build Pipeline — Water Supply | The Texas Tribune

I would stick to the southeast portion of the county, which has lake limestone and also a more reliable aquifer than other parts of the county.
