good sized yard downtown area? I guess it would have to be a basement apt but with a private yard that only i would use for a large dog? is it possible? I want to move to toronto? Is it the best place for gays?
Uhh, Toronto has a large gay community and is very gay-friendly. Finding a place with a fully-fenced yard shouldn't be hard at all - paying for it will be the hard part.
Agree with TOKidd. Toronto is gay friendly, and in fact I think Toronto often has nicer and bigger backyards (mature trees, ravines, etc) than most suburban homes. But you don't mention your budget. If you're bringing less than $600,000 I think you're going to have tough time (and even then).
You'll have to rent a house with a yard. Or a room in a house with a yard. Could be as little as $600 a month for a crappy basement apartment, or $2500+ for a decent house.
1k i was thinking a month, I am just tired of living in a city where i always feel like i am the only gay person.
Well you certainly won't feel that way here. Toronto has a well-established gay community. Maybe fusion2 can give you some more info about life for a gay person in Toronto...I think he lives in the Village.
As far as your budget, that should be fine to get you a decent apartment in a house. You'll have to look for a house that has been chopped up into apartments, or a basement apartment in a family home since you're looking for a yard. It may take a little longer to find something meeting your specifications, but you will.
