I saw a 5 second clip of the video. It definitely shows him toking on a pipe, but the pipe was a pot pipe. Crack pipes are straight glass tubes with a Brillo pad stuffed in one end. If the bowl he took a hit off was full of crack, he would have OD'ed instantly. That bowl would have held at least $200 worth of crack and killed whoever smoked it.

Happy Halloween, Mr. Ford.

I dislike this mayor, but not remotely as much as I dislike all the media who constantly attack him, often for no obvious reasons.

It is like making fun of the mayor has become a fad, or a cool thing and you get a high five after each of those cheap jokes about either his weight or crack cocaine.

The least the media can do is to be fair to every public figure. Lefty media doesn't like a right wing mayor, we got it. The Torontonians elected him, deal with it already.

My problem here is he lied about it so furiously. He could have just come clean to the public and said he'd had a toke or something rather then letting this get completely out of hand with the police getting their hand on this and calling the Toronto Star lying slanderers out to get him. It's nuts, and speaks to the mans monumentally poor judgment. Sure, the media suck, but that doesn't let him off the hook, sorry, it just doesn't.

He's shamed our nation with the way he handled this situation, he's damaged Toronto's reputation, and he has to own that.

Who are you, the police chief? The entire city is dying to see this video and you somehow saw it? Way out in British Columbia? Even the media can't get a hold of it.

Forget your "lefty" conspiracy excuse. Even the ultra right wing Sun are calling for his resignation. Unless they're in on it, too.

Well, a Toronto Star journalist saw it back in the spring...

Who cares? He's a bad mayor, but not because he smokes crack.
