Hi I am going to be in Toronto for 2-3 months on a short assignment through work in Toronto ON. I have 2-3 weeks to search for affordable Accomodation. I have never been to Canada and I would like some local experts to guide me with a few places I can look into for renting a place. I am ok to share a 1BR/2BR apt. Not sure about taking a rental car so would prefer to be closer to Public transportation. I am an Indian, 30 married. Please suggest me few places that I can check out so it can fit my budget. I am looking at a budget of $300-$400. Thanks in advance for your help.

Yonge street is 18 km within the city of Toronto. You would have to be more specific about where your office really is.

also, apartments near Yonge are usually the most expensive. If your budget is $300-400, you probably would need to take a long bus ride (45 minutes+) every day. It is completely possible (a friend of mine rents for $350 at Dufferin/Queen) although if you are not too picky.

Hi, I was living on Yonge street, near to University of Toronto.
It's a good location, since the subway station isn't far away, also, lots of stores and restaurants are nearby.
I used this housing website to look for apartment.
https://www.rentalguru.ca
It show's the housing info, also the rent on the map, could be useful to find the house in preferred area.
Good luck !
