It's all about $$. If you have lots of it, it's great. If not, it can be a struggle for sure.

Bridle Path is like each house is it's own gated community, if that's your thing (it's not mine).

Nasty horrible cold, yes, but brutally heat and humidity? Only someone from the very northern part of the earth would claim so.

Traffic is "insane" only if you live in the remote suburbs requiring hours of commute everyday, which means you WANT such misery. Any city with 6M people will have bad traffic.

Jobs, yes, and low pay as well. And you forget the high housing price (if you buy).

Compared to New York Toronto is very doable! In my opinion have been in both places, traffic is bad in either depending on the time. The other commenters listed some pretty great neighborhoods already that are quiet but still close to downtown!
