I am planning to move to the Rouge Hill area of Pickering in the next 3-4 years. I want to purchase a 3 bedroom townhome or single family home. I currently see prices from 600k to 1.2mil. Any ideas if prices are going to sky rocket in this area in the next 3-4 years? What other surrounding areas are suitable to purchase a home in the next 3-4 years with a 1mil limit? I also looked into Uxbridge, Unionville (Markham) but if there are any other areas within the Rouge Hill vicinity please let me know.

It probably won't. This is a pretty mature neighbourhood and most young people settling down aren't looking there as a primary or secondary en masse. It is somewhat of a 'hidden' area. More people will be looking in the Rouge area of Scarborough (Port Union) which has been hot for a long time, but will continue to do so.

There's also alot of new builds in other areas of Pickering, and East of it, alleviating it. So I wouldn't worry too much.
