After sending us a mysterious teaser of its next performance car (that we promptly identified as being the upcoming GS F), Lexus finally unveiled the sport sedan that will soon be presented in Detroit.

After openly challenging BMW’s M3 with their RC F, it seems that they now want to give the M5 (and to some extent the Mercedes-AMG E63 and the Audi RS7) a worthy Japanese competitor. To do this, they took the plain GS sedan and injected it with a dose of testosterone.

Isn't the GS-F gonna be in the 467 hp range? If so, it'll be at least 100 less then the AMG, M, and RS and almost 200 less then the new CTS-V ?!??

The front is way too overstyled.

Fugly. I just can't get past the "sport" version of that spindle grille.

They should offer a Supra version of the RC to help breathe some life back into the Toyota brand.

I used to be a huge Lexus fan, but the recent design of the front-ends on all models I cannot get past. I can understand this design on one or two models, but they are doing this on all of them and now they are doing the same thing to the '15 Toyota Camry in a way. The grill is just too dang big.

I walked through a Lexus dealer lot the other day. I found them to be stylish but very overpriced.

I too find that new grille offensively tacky. They really made a mistake in designing it.

This car isn't out yet so I'm assuming you were looking at the regular GS and GS F sport. Car won't be out till end of year.

I will be looking into maybe getting one. I love my GS F sport and would love to have the extra power!!

I think it will be an interesting car that will have its unique quirks and pluses and whatever buff mag that reviews it will find some way to make excuses for it by saying it has some sort of unquantifiable and intangible essence that makes it special and better then a CTS-V which will stomp a mudhole in it and walk it dry in every conceivable performance and handling contest.
