Hi All,

We want to experience the road trips. This will be the first time. we are planning to go to cleveland ohio for a week long trip stopping at kansas

We are travelling with a 20 mnths old .

We are planning to leave on Friday noon to cut the traffic. We wanted some recommendation on where to stop mid way to halt for the night.

Also are there any other must see places on the way.

Also please recommend some good places to dine while we are there.

Your suggestions are much appreciated !

That is a 19 hour drive. You will probably need to stop twice, especially since you are traveling with a small child. First day, you will likely be able to go 8 hours, which will get you to Memphis, TN or West Memphis, AR. If you can't go that far, Little Rock, AR is a good alternative since its 5 hours away. DO NOT go east of Little Rock unless you can go all the way to Memphis. The area in between is full of rice farms, and not much else. There aren't any motels to stop, and only a few gas stations. BTDT!

Why are you planning to go through Kansas? That's totally out of the way. You should be going through Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky and then Ohio.

I think that the OP should plan to stop around Nashville, TN as that will be a ten hour drive from Cleveland.

There are a lot of great restaurants and things to see in the Nashville area.
