So, I feel this could be a hard one as we don't want to spend too much time traveling to get to our sightseeing spot. So I feel most of the main ruins are ruled out.

I do want to see the ruins at Tulum again and I'm debating going to the ceynotes. Can anyone suggest anything else?

Oh my husband and I did a park like that in 2012 Xel-Ha. That's when we also saw the ruins at Tulum.

Some family members will probably do that but we won't do it again. I didn't know if there are any other animal encounters?

Floating down the underground river was so relaxing!!! They have a dolphin swim but we did not do that. There is a small zoo, a butterfly garden and some ruins. We really enjoyed ourselves there. It's the only thing I would go back to Mexico for really .

Hm. Have you done Xel-Ha before? I thought they looked pretty similar.

Xel Hua, a very clear pool of water preserved as a Park by the Mexicans. Xcaret. A series of caves you can snorkel in. The Chichen Itza Ruins with the unique pyramids are close by too.
