of course, you're totally correct. And it's in the best interest of the airlines to get the planes in the air as quickly as possible.
Regardless, They don't board in the logical manner you describe, even though testing has proven it's a better, faster system. Why? Because people ***** about it and board how THEY want to.
That poster isn’t totally correct. Airlines have unaccompanied minor ages until 11 and I think some go up to age 14. If they require people to pay unaccompanied minor fees to those ages, then they should let parents board with their kids to that age instead of requiring them to be separated due to strange boarding policies. These new boarding policies where you have to pay extra to sit with your kid on many airlines are just ridiculous. If a 10-year-old goes on alone because she wants the window, is she really going to be capable of putting something in the overhead on her own? Probably not.
They should have two doors, one near the front and one near the back. That would cut the boarding time in half, problem solved.
Yes, it definitely would be solved, except the greedy airlines would lose seats/paying passengers for the space the extra door at the back would take up.

That's a rather silly comparison to make. I mean how hard is it to lose a 9 year old on even a 777 once the boarding door closes? Having that same 9 year old make an unassisted terminal change for a connecting flight at JFK or Boston or LAX is a far harder thing for even a reasonably with-it kid at that age.
get me from A- to B safely. No one leaves the ground anyways til air traffic control says. Or the mechanic deems its missing an engine .
I usually get a window seat ...since getting bonked on the head is the norm for the "Get me off the plane first" folks who are 30k feet up and grabbing their stuff just in case the plane opens its doors for them first.
Our school bus had the load from back to front....worked out well. We all made it safely to school .
Dubai airport has conveyors that are computer synchronized...once you are on it you get to the flight and there is no crowding....Its absolutely fascinating....
One would think here in 2018 that a solution to these issues would have been found. Part of the problem is lack of standards. Get all airlines to be on the same page ie; boarding using the same proceedure, educate the herds (customer, especially first timers that dont have a clue) and staff. And, although not popular, eliminate carryons!
Oh hell no. If I have to check my bag (which I'm not totally against, BTW), I'm DEFINITELY carrying on a change of clothes and some toiletries/makeup (in case my checked bag gets delayed or lost). Not to mention my wallet, phone, keys, medication, etc. And I need to be able to carry things to do on the flight, particularly if said flight is 4+ hours!
Oh my God!!! A joke is a joke. Get over it!!!!!!!1
I mean, was that original statement even a joke? If it was, it was the worst attempt at a joke I'll probably see this week. It's a stretch even in times of hyper-triggerdom.
